AbodeZ is a turnkey integrated development company specializing in multifamily and mixed-use projects. Our team uses its extensive professional contacts to create a collaborative and inclusive process which engages the local community, design professionals, construction trades, and brokerage community towards a common goal. This method allows for us to focus our collective efforts on maximizing the project's implementation efficiency and the end-product’s market flexibility.

CHIEF INTEGRATOR

After a decadeas a partner in Oaktree Development, a Cambridge-based multifamily developer, Dr. Liu founded Abodez in 2008 to implement mass-customizable multifamily housing cost-effectively through the use of advanced software, building systems and an efficient supply chain. His engineering and technical background has enabled him to be heavily involved with every facet of the multifamily development process, from acquisitions to design to construction to marketing to property management. Abodez achieves exceptional returns for its investors by employing servant leadership and implementing strategic partnerships with all stakeholders in the development process.

Dr. Liu began in real estate by joining Oasis Development Enterprises, a real-estate investment company based on biblical values, aiming to catalyze pockets of prosperity in the inner city.

Prior to Oasis, Dr. Liu spent over 5 years as a laser/photonics research scientist at the Sony Central Research Center (Tokyo, Japan) and IBM’s T. J. Watson Research Center (Yorktown Heights, NY). He has a Ph.D. degree from MIT in electrical engineering.

KIN LAU

PRINCIPAL, DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION

Kin Lau brings extensive architecture and construction experience to the AbodeZ team, directing the permitting, design and construction of AbodeZ projects. These projects range from small residential buildings to large mixed-use multifamily complexes. By integrating his knowledge and experiences of architecture, construction and finance, Kin brings this innovative approach to development. His extensive knowledge of modular construction has created value to these projects enabling faster development in tight, urban settings.

Prior to joining AbodeZ, Kin was an Associate Principal at Arrowstreet Inc, located in Boston, MA. In his 23 years there, he was lead Project Architect on a broad range of projects including residential, high-rise office buildings and retail centers as well as large mixed-use projects.
